Islands to Visit

Corfu

Corfu (Kerkyra) is the second largest island of the Ionian group. Visitors can enjoy an evening stroll through the town, admiring the Venetian architecture, or relax on the island's beautiful beaches. The north-east side is particularly beautiful, with lush scenery and turquoise waters. Kassiopi, Kerasia, Kouloura and Agios Stefanos are among the island's most famous beaches! Paleokastritsa is also a beautiful traditional village, well worth a visit! Don't miss the chance to taste delicious local specialities in seafront restaurants and recharge with a view of the sunset!

Paxos & Antipaxos

Paxos has some of the most beautiful unspoilt beaches and bays in the Ionian Islands and is one of the 20 most beautiful islands in the world. It is ideal for anchoring with your catamaran because of the many “blue” and underwater caves, the small coves and the rich green seabed, which create a magical landscape. The island's three main villages are Gaios (capital of Paxi), Lakka and Logos. A visit to the traditional bay of Lakka is a must! There, you will have the chance to try local products, such as wines and olive oil. Visit the Erimitis restaurant and enjoy a spectacular sunset! The picturesque island of Antipaxos has one of our favourite beaches with emerald waters, Voutoumi beach!

Lefkada

The ideal destination for couples, families and friends, as Lefkada combines relaxation, clean beaches, beautiful traditional tavernas and comfortable bars! Porto Katsiki, Egremni and Kathisma are the island's most famous beaches! Syvota, a charming village in a natural bay surrounded by green hills, is a must-visit! Ask your skipper to head to Meganisi to dive into hidden bays and dine at Erriko's restaurant. Kastos and Kalamos, two nearby islands with emerald waters, are perfect spots to enjoy nature!

Kefalonia

The island is famous for its incredible beaches, including Myrtos, Antisamos and Skala. Stop in the beautiful village of Fiscardo for fresh lobster and traditional flavours at the local restaurants. The Tassia restaurant is the best for a unique culinary experience! Some of the best spots on the island are Assos (an incredible bay with a traditional village) and Sami. Visitors should also see the Melissani caves for swimming and the Drogarati cave, where stalactites and stalagmites create a mysterious atmosphere that will impress your guests!

Ithaca

Ithaca is best known as the mythical island of Ulysses, and is also the ideal island for a peaceful holiday for families and couples! Some of the island's incredible beaches are Schinos, Tria Pigadia, Afales and Filiatros! Ithaca has great traditional fish restaurants lining the seafront! With its colourful houses and whitewashed courtyards filled with flower pots, Kioni is the most beautiful village on the island. Some call Ithaca the "Hydra" of the Ionian Sea, as it is reminiscent of the small island in the Saronic Gulf. The lush vegetation, absence of cars and picturesque landscape make it a paradise of the Ionian Sea.

Zakynthos

Zakynthos (Zante) is popular for its crystal beaches and vibrant nightlife, attracting many visitors and celebrities every year. Navagio (Shipwreck) is one of the island's most popular beaches, where turquoise waters, cliffs and white sand create a magnificent landscape. Vassilikos is a golden beach with crystal-clear shallow blue waters, ideal for tranquillity. A must-stop are the Keri caves on the south-west side of the island, accessible only by boat. Jump straight into the deep waters and enjoy the sea!

Itineraries

The fertile islands of the Ionian Sea, covered in pines, cypresses and fields of colourful flowers, stand in direct contrast to the adjacent barren mountainous continent of Greece. Similarly, the architecture of the ports is picturesque, with red-tiled houses in eclectic Italian and French styles. This environment is an ideal sailing ground for our lagoon 52F, with favourable winds. While they are particularly recommended for novices and family groups, their many itinerary options will have something to offer everyone.

Wind & Sailing Conditions

Wind and sailing conditions in the Ionian Sea are ideal and predictable. From May to September, the wind blows from the north-west at Force 2-5. In spring and autumn, the wind is lighter and generally blows from the south-west. It arrives around midday, blowing at Force 3 to 6 (10 to 25 knots) and dies down at sunset. There can be strong gusts on the leeward side due to high terrain (for example, the eastern side of Ithaca and Zakynthos). Recommended for novices and family groups, but offering something for everyone with many itinerary options.
